To The First Love of my Life,

Books, I owe you! Though you’re loved by many, for me, you’ve always been my first love. Right from childhood, whether it was reading comics, tiny tales, or short stories to reading fiction during my teenage years. You were always there to lend me a shoulder, to make things logical for me, to help me study, and to make me smart enough that I am today.

The more I relied on you, the better I became. Even though we’ve been in an ON and OFF relationship, it has never been a toxic one. You’ve been my best friend and most importantly a wonderful companion during the hard times.

You’ve never ever betrayed me. You’ve been the source of power for me to inspire people, weave stories and put my expression into words in front of the world. The best part is that you’ve added liberty to my personality.

The more I spent time with you, the more I realised how beautiful, creative, inspiring, and kind I am. You made me who I am today. Maybe that’s how I entered into the content industry too. I won’t say that you’re solely responsible for that, but yes you played an add-on bonus part in my professional life too.

I love you for adding spirituality to my life. Today, when I realise about reading so many spiritual books in childhood itself, I feel that you entered my life deliberately. Even though, when I didn’t understand spirituality at that time, I had read so many spiritual books. Fortunately, I understand them now.

I can never be thankful enough.

I can never be as expressive as I am today for you.

I can never love you less.

Forever Grateful.
Blessed Beyond Measure.

From Someone Who Loves Reading.

On National Reading Day Today, I’d like to say to all the people who don’t like reading -

In the words of J.K. Rowling - ‘If you don’t like to read, you haven’t found the right book’.

Happy National Reading Day to all the bookworms out there!

P.S. - Sharing a book that's very very close to my heart, feel free to share yours :)
