A Letter To Mother Nature

Dear Mother Nature,

I know we haven't been kind to you for many years. I feel ashamed for all the pain we've caused you.

On the other hand, you've given us so much. You have raised us from simple self-replicating chemicals to trillion-celled mammals. You have given us free reign of the planet.

You have given us a life span longer than that of almost any other animal. You have endowed us with a complex brain giving us the capacity for language, reason, foresight, curiosity, and creativity.

You have given us the capacity for self-understanding as well as empathy for others.

Thank you for your support all of these years. You have been there for us to stand on, sit on, lie on.

Never letting us fall even though some time we have made choices that were not in your best interest.

Today,

I promise you, I won't let you down again. I will make you proud one day.
